Milo my new Wobbler

 I’ve had my head down working to get things done for the Sasha meet up soon , but in between sewing and painting , something has been on my mind and when I get like that I have to do it , it’s taken days and lots of lumps of apoxy sculpt laying about , and there is paint everywhere.. thank God for silicon gloves ,  but I’m happy with the overall results , this is Milo , not Max , the scruffy little broken baby who I have been working on , he has the most beautiful hair , so much to Carrot and Sprouts joy , he is staying blond . He’s been wobbled using apoxy sculpt stained , I used gouache, which has a really strong pigment , once the apoxy had dried the paint is fixed  his legs cut , as I straighten them , then I rammed the gap solid with tin foil , next time I do it I will take photographs , and his neck slight lengthened also with apoxy . 

The girls are a bit miffed because they are still outnumbered 

But I have promised them both another girl will join them 

Now Carrot and Sprout are both demanding new legs so they can be tall too and so has Moms visiting little girl , eventually I will do them all . 

I’ve also had my suspicions confirmed one leg is indeed longer than the other so I have put a lift in his shorter legs shoe so he can stand

Slow stitches ❤️

 It’s been a busy relaxing few weeks , can’t believe it’s October , nights are drawing in and in the evening I sit and sew whilst watching Sister Boniface and Father Brown , overjoyed to have a new Shakespeare and Hathaway 

As Paul redecorates our living room 

New sofa , chair rug and curtains , can’t wait until it’s done

Baby Beans 🩷

 I loved my Baby Beans when I was little …I remember vividly taking her on holiday and sleeping with her …I was never into baby dolls …but loved her , 

I have no idea what happened to her …lost on one of my house moves I suspect …which is a shame …I was always do careful of my childhood favourites ..but she is long gone … so when I saw this little waif …who was the spitting image of my old BB ..I had to rescue her 

Poo thing had been loved , she had obviously lost her beans and had been repaired …so after a bath ….I carefully repaired her feet , replaced her stuffing with kapock , and new beans …I could remember how she felt ..and how she cuddled …then I made her a tunic and new hat to match her new feet , carefully covered her holes , and replaced her hair …it was half gone ..and I was sure my girl had paler hair ..although this hair was very dirty and discoloured 

…I’m so happy with BB …she sits by my bed now ….and I do love her , she brings back so many memories 

Little Madeleine arrived

 I wanted a beautiful old red haired Gotz Sasha …couldn’t resist this girl when she arrived 

Mom has been busy creating these amazing hand painted outfits 

Amd I’ve been busy with a new shoe ….so suddenly I’m in August ..got to get a wiggle on if I want new shoes for October Sasha gathering 

Violet

 Not sure where the time is going but I felt like I’d missed my Sasha this month , I have those gorgeous dungarees off Mom but haven’t had the time to make the shirts … so this week I tried to make some time … and at last I’ve got them done ! 

I’ve just got to do shoes so I can photograph them ! 

Today I plan to finish my Baby  beans …make that Wobbler ! And then sort out the leather for new shoes 

But here is Violet .. fitting in beautiful now with the rest of the crew

 Almost done just a few more tweaks and the pattern should be ready 

Busy Busy

 My crew are waiting patiently for new clothes 

I’ve really got to do some sewing ! New shoes on the work bench and shirts planned 

And a new girl arriving soon ❤️

Another Little Miss Frida

 This little Frida has got so much attitude ….love her 

Again Mom hand painted her outfit …and I did the repaint , hair including the head dress and the boots 

Gorgeous fabrics and colour

 I’ve been doing a little slow stitching the past few weeks in the evening and really enjoying myself 

I plan to cover this old vintage sewing box , which I rescued from Orinoco in Banbury for the princely sum of £3.00 

Make a slow stitch bowl , amd cover my art journal , and complete my Postcard journey , which I’m turning into a book …I’ve discovered Sashiko , Kantha , Kawandi on my journey …amd the fact Imlove Tilda lawn LOL ….I want my little corner in the living room to be a riot of colour ….ive got quite a little fabric stash growing 

Nibbs .. and Pan-Man

 Today I was repainting a BJD and spur of the moment 

Touched up  Pan-Man’s brows , more difficult than I expected, I could see the remaining brows and the original colour , I tried to do them in watercolour first , but they didn’t look right , so turned to acrylic, 

He now has brows bless him ❤️

So I also started Nibbs , I was going to go for the Trendon look , but perhaps because I had my Gotz boy out , his eyes came bigger , he’s got more of a Gotz look than Trendon  , but rather like how he looked , so rather than strip him and start again , I went with it 

And Nibbs was soon looking at me , he’s got a pale blush of freckles , green eyes and fabulous wig by Fatiao on Etsy , such a sweet little boy

 I didn’t have time to take really good photos, this was in my Daughters living room 

LOL 

But this little girl was based on a photograph of Frida as a child 

Baby Sasha , Wobbled , I did the repaint and made the wig and boots , Mom made and painted the outfit 🤣

I thoroughly enjoyed these .. ladybirds are always one of my favourites, but my first time doing the frogs … and I love them ❤️❤️❤️🐸
