What’s on the table this week

 I so enjoying these … a new design , on a shorter baby Sasha boot , it’s a little tricky scalding down the designs on these but I LOVE doing them 

Busy weekend

 Cutting out commissions..and I thought I would photograph my Sasha ..I’ve had a few new ones lately 

Now they are all dressed …well nearly all of them ..I thought I’d make a page on them here on my blog 

So I’ve made a page on my blog …how I do wobblers …Im also doing one how I dyed Sasha’s hair …

Frida and CherryBomb …

 Saving this photograph…just because I liked it 

Rit dyed blondes …after all the worry , and stressing how to do it 

You simply , dunk the head in the boiling dye mix …and it’s done ! 

Remember use original Rit …not the Rit for synthetics…

I have a few old blonde heads I test the colour first on …then dunk in the head … easy 

It’s a fast process …you’re not immersing the whole head for minutes…my pinks …and  the red head I did ,took seconds 

Any dye residue on the face or tips of ears,wipe off  …the dye wipes off easily when it’s just come out the pan xxx

My Sasha

 It occurred to me at 5.00 this morning , it’s been a long time since my dolls have actually been precious to me 

I mean , they really mean a lot 

My Childhood Sasha , she’s always been with me , my constant companion 

Then she was joined by a couple of waifs .. my orders began to switch from Blythe and ball joint dolls 

And I was happy with it … a chance customer , who became friend I introduced me to a Sasha group 

Again I was curious , interested another joined my collection 

Then I went to Southam .. I mean a Sasha gathering in the next village 

I had to go … oh I had a delightful time … that’s when I saw the old Gotz girls and Velvet 

No Navels oh my days … that was it … that was the turning point I think 

Slowly over the past few months , my doll collection that I’ve not been interested in in years has gone , and a few select Sashas have moved in … ok I’m in double figures 

I’m not planning on more … not now 

I really have my dream girls … and boys 

Red head … a red head that I’ve not met yet … I will know her when I see her 

I think I need to document them better 

So I remember their names

 Cherrybomb went to the races …her outfit is now available for sale in my Etsy shop 

Another girl whose hair I dyed ….yes she’s anatomically correct ..she is now a girl and sprout has a boy body

Fleur …Sweater Girl

 At last I have a sweater girl …and what a beautiful girl she is …another I fell in love with when I saw her last year …Sweater Girl  and Velvet ..and guess who I have coming in a few days …she is on her way as I write 

She is such a pretty girl and I really love the short hair …as soon as I saw her ..hr name is Fleur

And I have finally re-bonded with Frida …she has such a pretty face but after I had rerooted her and dyed her hair ..I wasn’t sure …but now I’ve touched up her eyes and redressed her in her look …loving her 

It’s been a long time since I’ve really enjoyed my dolls …but my Sasha ..I’m so happy with

New style shoes

 Mom asked me for a shoe …or bootie …these remind me of the shoes an old school friend used to wear ..I will never forget the day he started school and he wore  these suede shoe type boots …

Anyway I was inspired to make them for Shadow ..my newest baby  of course I sold them and now need to make more ..but these are the Sasha size …and they also are available in baby / toddler size

Amd I want to take some new designs with me next month at Sasha goes to the Races

Frida Fridays …

 I finished these 2 yesterday… and I am delighted ! 

I bloody loved doing these 

When I’m repainting them I like to keep as much of the original face as possible and work from that 

With Frida , I have to remove the lips and eyebrows and go from their .. but I like to keep them as much Sasha as possible ❤️

After years of really disliking the Sasha baby’s .. I’m really enjoying them now , I know a lot of people love them , but I found them really hard to dress and pose with their bent limbs and tuck necks … 

I shall be sorry to see these 2 go 

But I just may have bought another baby to turn into. Wobbler 

And I can’t wait untill she arrives

What’s on the table today

 … it’s cost me over £15.00 just for the tools to set these little

Babies … and it’s taken me years to find the correct size 

But I’m over the moon !
