Sunny Sunday 🌞

 Didn’t get as much done on my journal as I planned this weekend …,but managed to do more on Baby Birds blanket …and got quite a bit on Tiffany , Paul worked on the bathroom ..I worked on Tiffany …it wasn’t until I was doing her head I realised I was using the wrong size hook , so she’s come a little larger than I planned ..but I had done to much to undo …so I tan with it …I have to admit I’m really happy with her …I’ve just got to do her hat , a little cauldron …and I have a feeling she needs a cat ! 

April so far …this blog should really be called diary of a woman that can’t stop making stuff

 New baby due in a few weeks so I’m trying to finish another blanket and a bear ! For him/her 

I’m thoroughly enjoying ..painting my little creations as I make them …so right now I have Amelia Jane ..Tiffany and Sam to make ! 

I really want a dot pebbles Winnie the Pooh! And I’ve started Tiffany …

I also can’t wait for   my yarn bowl to arrive …and I really want to start one of my stranded jumpers when these blankets are done 

March I have had my head down ❤️

 Commissions this month ..which I’m really pleased about ..none Etsy sales 

I suppose I should think of stocking my shop up …but I’m so happy making up orders right now 

I have so much I want to do on my todo list …and not enough hours 

Frida , Frida and Diego ..have gone out …I finished Gracie’s blanket …and 3 custom size boots and shoes with a Cardie …I was really pleased with those as I made them from measurements..And I made a tiny Bunny called Monty to go with Furgal the Ferret …Paul was blown away …he’s never seen anything this tiny jointed …I think I want  to make a bear next

Gither .. ❤️

 I started Gither as I waited for my threads to arrive , using 0.75 hook and cotton I had in my stash , she’s taken me a week to do , very hard on my hands as she is a little larger than I would normally like , I soon realised I wanted to paint a box for her to live in ❤️ which gave me a perfect excuse for me to try out the paints I had for Christmas 

I’m so pleased with the results

On a Night Like this

 Gither Ogg would be rather impressed I chose a night like this to create her , it almost felt like The RamTops 

Last night , the wind howled , the rain lashed down , it was one of those nights it was good to be indoors , I was patiently waiting for my threads to arrive from Spicaartdoll,  checking the tracking , Monday or Tuesday I thought , so as I waited  , I fished out some of the other thread I had and as the wind  howled around the hills I started “ Gither “ she s quite impressed I chose a night like this ..it suited her character , I chose much finer yarn than Gwiami’s pattern called for . But I’m loving the challenge . Then would you believe it , there was a knock on the door and I couldn’t believe my eyes Spicaartdoll ‘s delicious yarns arrived , beautifully packaged , which I will use in my art journal ..this is one New Year’s resolution I’m loving ❤️

New year new challenge

 I’m really wanting to perfect micro crochet , I’ve always loved it … always wanted to do it 

I am going to make one a month.. but at the moment doing one a week … I have a bear finished for week 3 of January, I will photograph today ❤️

So I had a go … feed back was fantastic .. and I have orders

I have ordered a gorgeous selection of threads .. which should be with me in a couple of days 

I am exited about this … I’ve always collected tiny thread animals and have always wanted a tiny doll … now I can make myself one ..

Can’t believe it’s been so long , this year has flown by , dramatic fall , lots of scans and hospital, amazing holiday in Norway , we have a grandson due in December , can’t wait for 

Now Etsy … said through gritted teeth ,

Now taking funds to be released when the goods are shipped , as most my things are made to order , that’s a pain , so I have taken off everything that’s made to

order and only items instock are listed , mainly because of family commitments, I cannot keep up as I’m spending a lot of time in my home town over the coming weeks , 

I’m also sorting out dolls and bears … just stuff I have accumulated and will be listing that’s too , I’m having a real spring clean !

The Baron is home

 The fall in January really has taken its toll 

But although still wearing a splint I’m feeling better …I’m now waiting for a bone density scan on my left hip , that being the problem 

In the meantime …I have finally finished The Baron …what a challenge ..almost 20 inches tall ..he certainly gave me a headache LOL …but I’m glad he’s done …and his owner is thrilled ❤️

And now for so,etching completely different ….and much smaller LOL
