Can’t believe it’s been so long , this year has flown by , dramatic fall , lots of scans and hospital, amazing holiday in Norway , we have a grandson due in December , can’t wait for 

Now Etsy … said through gritted teeth ,

Now taking funds to be released when the goods are shipped , as most my things are made to order , that’s a pain , so I have taken off everything that’s made to

order and only items instock are listed , mainly because of family commitments, I cannot keep up as I’m spending a lot of time in my home town over the coming weeks , 

I’m also sorting out dolls and bears … just stuff I have accumulated and will be listing that’s too , I’m having a real spring clean !

The Baron is home

 The fall in January really has taken its toll 

But although still wearing a splint I’m feeling better …I’m now waiting for a bone density scan on my left hip , that being the problem 

In the meantime …I have finally finished The Baron …what a challenge ..almost 20 inches tall ..he certainly gave me a headache LOL …but I’m glad he’s done …and his owner is thrilled ❤️

And now for so,etching completely different ….and much smaller LOL 

Update

 Well this year is going at a snails pace , my recovery 

I fell in January…I knew it was bad when I did it …after an evening in A&E …was relieved to find out , it’s not broken 

So 4 weeks later I went to Physio ..she was mortified when she saw it …ordered not to walk on it excessively, the  splint back on and she referred me 

I also have to see the Dr about my knees and left hip , as I’m walking so bad , it was that that caused the fall ..and if I don’t find out why I’m in so much pain and walking so bad …I will fall again 

Fast forward to April .. Trauma specialist saw me …I’m now going for an MRI 

He suspects I’ve damaged 2 of the tendons and a ligament BUT how bad …we won’t know until we get the MRI results 

And he can’t operate because of the Arthritis in my ankle and where it is , and my age ( WTF …I’m old ! ) my ankle will fuse ….ANOTHER Splint is now on for when I’m walking ..to stabilise my ankle 

So it’s going to be a long recovery ! And I look like a Borg 

It’s gonna look fab with shorts !

So MRI Monday and I’m seeing a hip and Knee specialist Thursday 

It’s seriously affecting my work ..I can’t get around like I did 

My work room is like a booby trapped war zone 

So I’m seriously sorting it out , I can’t get to anything ,slowly I’m sorting it so I can start work 

Everything I do is at a snails pace now …but I an mow  working slowly x

Dolly Mojo is back ❤️

 After loosing my mojo over the past few months 

It’s well and truly back now 

I adore these new girls , can’t wait to get working on their outfits and shoes ❤️

They looked so much bigger in their box’s but now they are out and next to some of the others .. they are stunning ❤️

Sorting out my work space …work rooms ..planning my studio ..getting rid of box’s of fashion dolls I do not want …and handbags LOL 

Declutter ..I have so much stuff ! 

But my fav old vintage girls stay and my Susi 

I’m working on a few commissions I have to get finished …and new Sasha shoes ..at last LOL 

My ankle still hasn’t healed …after 2 months ..I’m seeing a specialist in 2 weeks 

On a plus side ..I’m loosing weight at last and feel great ..if only I could sort this ankle

Versus Arthritis Challenge

Well I’m still strapped up and wrapped up ..I can drive now …and have just started working again ..but progress ..is slow , my Arthritis has flared again in my hands 

….but good news is I’m loosing weight nicely ..Good Old SlimmingWorld…and doing Yoga 30mins a day is making me feel stronger and in less pain 

I’ve started my March Projects …I have a list …but not sure now how my hands will hold up 

But I’ve decided anyone who donated through my fundraising page will be entered into a draw April 1st and will be able to select there plaice from the items I’ve made x

So far I have Dot Pebbles Bunny’s ..Dot Pebbles Frog …Willow the Oak baby …Socks …and I have a few weeks yet to add more prizes xx

What a start to the year

 Well a virus before Christmas, then I’d just started back to work 

And I had a bit of an accident  .. I fell 3 weeks ago and it was was a right “pissballer “ 

started physio Friday but they have referred me to a specialist as my foot is still too bruised and swollen to start exercising it , and she suspected I have damaged a tendon , untill they have found out how damaged , I can’t do much , then they want to work on strengthening my joints , to better deal with the arthritis!

I’m still splinted and can’t drive or walk much 

To top it all I had an infection in my jaw , so Thursday dentist removed the damaged tooth , she suspected it was damaged in the fall 

On a plus side I’m feeling so much better now ! I really do ! 

What a start to the year

I’ve not done any work , but am starting this Amazing doll I’m working on for a commissioned peice but it’s a slow pace .. but I will get there x

Forgot to add this ..a half day course at The Stratford School of Jewellery

 I do love the piercing saw …after years of being scarred of blades and drills , I can honestly say I love doing this , I had already done some cutting work at the class ..but really enjoyed my Sugar skull class 

Paul’s made me a bench at home , and a soldering station …so now I’m practicing at home ..and getting inspired x 

I even have an order for a skull ! 

The copper sugar skull mandala I added blue Crystal eyes , blue pearls and silk tassels , gave it a coat of wax and I love it , can’t wait to put my tree up with it on x

Halvin the hare

 I’m loving this new adventure 

… and I’m away , I knew the first I wanted to make would be my hare , so I could learn more about texture, working with brass , copper and silver and soldering , each to each other , I’ve also signed up for another 6 weeks ❤️

With my jewellery and my orders coming in , I’m a busy girl !

 They are particularly sewn and I just have to assemble 

I have one bear on Etsy … so will do another more the run up to Christmas my last little white rabbit went out this week 

I do love doing these … and I am at that age … and the stage in my life I only do what I want to do LOL 

It’s been 3 years since I gave up making wigs .. I don’t regret that at all 

Now I’m on another adventure… silversmithing 

I couldn’t leave it ❤️

I’ve filed it , sanded it , buffed it …added texture with a file 

I’ve learn a lot ..I’ve tried stamping ..some I liked some , I didn’t ,they  were only cheap tools , and you could tell , but I have a few good ones now , 

It’s got it’s faults , but I will know for next time , Paul drilled one of the glass pieces we found I. Lynmouth , which I attached , I’ve added sea green pearls and silk tassel and hung it on a chain …even with its faults , I love it 💙 my Tears of the Sea sun catcher 💙

 

What a buzz !

 I’ve not felt this fired up … for ages 

I was inspired when I found my Lynmouth Sea Glass so did my first class with Sara . Who is AMAZING at Stratford School of Jewellery.. the ring went amazing , with help from Sara as I had no idea what I was doing LOL 

So yesterday I started a 6 weeks course with her … just so happened my first class was just what I wanted to know … the fret saw … omg I loved it 

I have so many ideas 

Paul is taking down the old shed and greenhouse and we are haveing a work room so we can crate together,

This  will be my Tears from the sea , I’m going to add tassels and pearls and a bit of sea glass I think 

I’m not rushing it … Next week we’re doing a silver chain ❤️… I am so exited 

now I have coffee and boots to do now 🤣
