Frida …Trendon Sasha

Sadly this poor girl had hair fall ..so she had to be wigged

I was asked for a Frida Sasha …I wanted to capture the iconic look of Frida

Little red felt shoes

…I’ve loved every moment making up Pinocchio

Made little red shoes … just because LOL

Thoroughly enjoyed my day

I removed myself from the news today …and took myself to my happy Place and have thoroughly enjoyed myself …finished up Humpty who is for sale …2 bears have homes ..Pinocchio I have to wait for some things to arrive before I can finish him ❤️

It’s a windy old day today

And it felt like Christmas , 🎄went for a windy drive into Leamington to get my new phone and I had this wonderful little doll arrive , I will enjoy restoring her

Little Ted 🐻

 He’s so cute

Made from Sherpa fleece fabric ..I had to make him after I stumbled across the tutorial on You a tube

Cuddle bear by Lisa Pay

https://youtu.be/NbnJ_FmGtnc

I knew I had to make one for each of my Grandkids

Brilliant tutorial and pattern

Highly recommended , I thought bear making and have done many classes , this is the type of pattern and tutorial I would have recommend

A little Ted I am keeping ❤️

The Sherpa was very thin ..although lovely colour and so soft

So I used a thicker PVA/Glue mix …as it didn’t bleed through the fabric and wreck the pile

But next time I will make sure the Sherpa is good quality x

Little Miss Grace has her locks

She is smiling I’m sure ..little Grace has her hair
I bought her as an  Armand Marseille

But she could be a Kessner ..trying to find her age and saw a photo of a Kessner that’s was identical to Grace

She now deserves a beautiful outfit ..although her little crochet dress looks nicer now she has a bow ❤️

Grace gets a little clean

Grace cleaned up beautiful with a soft toothbrush and a little swarfega .The glue came off her head really easy , her old hair ..to be ho eat there wasn’t much , so I stuffed it inside her head , I’ve bought a beautiful strawberry blonde mohair , I want to give her a short shoulder length look ,.I touched her paintwork up on her face and boots ..complimenting the colours that were left , not painting over them ,with watercolours and Matt sealed them ,
Next I will make her hair , I curled some hair on some knitting needles and dunked them in hot water …it’s been years since I’ve done this…I used to do the dollhouse dolls hair this way
Next when they are dry I will carefull add the hair

When I was a child ..

One Christmas my mother bought me a book , all about dolls , I dreamt of owning these beautiful old treasures .. I didn’t think it likely ..I loved the tiny dolls in their trunks , with their outfits ..only dreaming I would own one

Sunday this little girl arrived

I’ve called her Grace , she’s beautiful

I’ve named her after my Granddaughter ..

And I plan on restoring her ..making her very own travelling trunk ..she’s very exited ..and already tried on shoes …

I was quite surprised she arrived Sunday ..we never have Mail on that day ..but she did ..and I’m thrilled

Almost as thrilled and the Big Bic pen …with Bic pens inside …and unicorns ! Again as a child ..I wanted these pens so bad at School …. I loved how the colours changed and that satisfying click as you do so …I’m even more exited as one of these has a pencil in too

I’m going to fish out my watercolours and journals ..I can feel some painting coming on ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Shirley

my friend gave me this girl 4 years ago ..thank you Ruth , Shirly is such a pretty doll ❤ i cam see why people fall in love with them I used artist quality pastels and blended them into her skin , then sealed her with MR Super Clear ..4 years on she is still holding her colour and hasnt faded
